Volunteer Exchange to Hear About Pickleball, Wednesday 10:30 A.M, Feb 6, 2019
The Volunteer Exchange will meet on Wednesday, Feb 6 at 10:30 a.m. in the Fireside Room at Gateway to learn more about the new sport that everyone is talking about – pickleball.
Representatives of Rossmoor’s Pickleball Club will show a short video about the sport and explain why it is so popular with senior citizens. A club trainer and some Pickleball Club Board Members will be available to answer questions.
If you made a New Years resolution to “Get more exercise” in 2019, learning to play pickleball might be the answer.
**********************************************************************************
The men and women of the Volunteer Exchange perform services for each other such as transportation and pet care. In this way, they earn credit hours, which they can use in the future to “pay” other members for services. New members able to provide services are always welcome. Services are not available to non-members.
Detailed information about the club can be found on the club’s web page. The web page can be easily accessed via a link in the “Clubs” section on the www.rossmoor.com web page. For more information, residents are invited to attend one of the monthly meetings or call 906-9882.
