Landscaping in Rossmoor, Wednesday 10:30 A.M, April 5, 2017
Rebecca Pollon, Landscape Manager for Rossmoor, will be the speaker for the Volunteer Exchange Program on Wednesday, April 5 at 10:30 A.M. in the Fireside Room at Gateway. Using a Powerpoint for her presentation Ms. Pollon will give a brief history of Rossmoor at the beginning, and then she will address the challenges she faces and the vision she has for the future of Rossmoor.
Rebecca has an undergraduate degree from UC Davis and a master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Melbourne in Australia. She has had her own award winning design and consulting business and previously spent three years in Rossmoor as a landscape supervisor for First Walnut Creek Mutual, then a landscape enhancements manager. In addition to her degrees, she is currently certified as a Bay Friendly Landscape Professional and is a Board member of walk Oakland bike Oakland (WOBO), a non-profit advocate for the better walking and biking infrastructure in Oakland.
A world traveler, she has volunteered at the San Francisco Botanical Gardens, and has volunteer tutored for Reading Partners.

The VEP exist to help Rossmoor residents help each other. Members provide services for other members and earn credits for doing so. In turn, they can use their earned credits to obtain services from others. It is not an emergency service and is not available to nonmembers.
The organization is in need of a Program Chairman. The position requires a search for interesting programs that will be presented to the members at the monthly meetings. If any member is available to accept this challenge, please speak to Antje Ahlemeyer.
