Meals On Wheels Diablo Region, Wednesday, May 2, 2018
Meals On Wheels Diablo Region is the new name change from the former Meals On Wheels and Senior Outreach Services. As it celebrates its 50th anniversary, the Volunteer Exchange Program will learn about the reorganization on Wednesday, May 2nd, at 10:30 a.m. in the Fireside Room at Gateway. The renewed purpose, name, and logo changes in the organization continue to serve 240,000 plus seniors in Contra Costa County (CCC). Three staff members of the organization will describe their duties.
Susannah Meyer, Community Engagement Director, welcomes every opportunity to share the mission of MOWDR and communicates the critical support the agency provides to the seniors in CCC. Nancy Raniere, Meals On Wheels Program Manager, has a background in disability studies. She has managed recreational respite programs for adults with disabilities and aging seniors. Marcela Kinsella, Communication Specialist, is part of the MOWDR community outreach team. She plays an integral role in the organization outreach efforts through digital marketing, social media and event planning.
