Tap Dancing Performance, Wednesday 10:30 A.M, Sept. 6, 2017
The Rossmoor Rhythm Review Tap Dancing Group, with fifteen to twenty members, will perform for the Volunteer Exchange Program audience on Wednesday, September 6, at 10:30 a.m. in the Fireside Room at Gateway. The troupe is divided into two different levels of tapping according to ability, confidence in performing choreographed routines, and having fun. The Hoofers are medium tappers who have had some tapping experience. The Flashers are advanced tap dancers with several years of experience performing more complicated dance steps. Both groups will dance at their levels expressing the differences.
Tap dancing is especially suited for the elderly. It stimulates the brain, is easy on the body, and creates a feeling of fun and compatibility. A non-profit troupe, it performs at local senior-living facilities, various Rossmoor clubs, and luncheons. New dancers, of all levels, are welcome. Classes are available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays every week. Mary Lyons is the current instructor. For more information, call Peggy Schockley: (925) 945-4980.

Men and women may apply for membership by calling (925)906-9882. There are currently 118 members.
A program chairman is needed to arrange interesting programs for monthly meetings. Credits can be earned by accepting this task. Call Antje Ahlemeyer at (925)906-9882 if interested in this challenge.
All residents may apply for membership by calling (925) 906-9882. Brochures will be available offering information about the VEP. For more details go to the website: http://rossmoorvep.weebly.com/
