Vocal Song Performance, Wednesday 10:30 A.M, Oct. 4, 2017
Howard Zugman, brother of Rossmoor resident Elaine Ivankovich, will perform a 45-minutes vocal song set for the Volunteer Exchange Program on Wednesday, October 4th, at 10:30 a.m. in the Fireside Room at Gateway.
Zugman considers himself an entertainer who sings rather than a singer. Backed by karaoke sound tracks from many famous artists of the Big Band Era, his repertoire includes vocals by Frank Sinatra, Nice n’ Easy; Tony Bennett, Shadow of Your Smile; Willie Nelson, Always on My Mind. Audience participation is encouraged.
To date, he has been performing these sets in the Greater Bay Area for almost 30 years at 200 different senior facilities. His program was originally developed from a group while acting in the musical Godspell at Laney College in Oakland. From acting to singing, he created a choral group which eventually evolved into his solo shows.

The VEP recruits residents who can assist other members with services such as transportation and personal care needs. Volunteering allows members to log volunteer hours that can then be exchanged for services when needed in the future. It is not an emergency service and is available to members only. Men and women may apply for membership by calling (925)906-9882. There are currently 118 members.
A program chairman is needed to arrange interesting programs for monthly meetings. Credits can be earned by accepting this task. Call Antje Ahlemeyer at (925)906-9882 if interested in this challenge.
All residents may apply for membership by calling (925) 906-9882. Brochures will be available offering information about the VEP. For more details go to the website: http://rossmoorvep.weebly.com/
