Volunteer opportunities at the Tice Valley Rossmoor Outpatient Center, Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016
Terry Coakley is a Guest & Volunteer Services Representative from John Muir Health. She will speak about volunteer opportunities at the Tice Valley Rossmoor Outpatient Center located on Rossmoor Parkway. Terry has worked at this site for a number of years and she enjoys helping recruit volunteers to the John Muir Health Guest and Volunteer Services Program. Terry will talk about the requirements for becoming a volunteer with a health system, what the service commitment entails, and the many benefits and rewards to volunteering in the healthcare industry. She will be handing out brochures and application packets to those who are interested. John Muir Health provides a diverse range of volunteer opportunities throughout its hospital campuses, outpatient health facilities and community outreach programs. There are over 1,600 volunteers who donate their time in a variety of service positions.

The Volunteer Program exists to help Rossmoor residents help each other. Members provide services for other members and ear credits for doing so. In turn, they can use their earned credits to obtain services from other members. Membership dues are $15 annually. There are no additional charges except for reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses such as gasoline and parking. It is not an emergency service and is not available to non-members.
