Rossmoor Lapidary Club, Nov. 7 , 2018
The Volunteer Exchange will meet on Wednesday, Nov 7 at 10:30 a.m. in the Fireside Room at Gateway. They will view a presentation by representatives of the Rossmoor Lapidary Club about their club and what it has to offer. The speakers will be Carol Lehr and Leanne Hamaji, club officers.
The members of the Lapidary Club work with a variety of materials besides stones and gems. Slides of various works produced by their members will be shown. Their members range in experience level from beginners to professional artists. An assortment of items produced by Lapidary Club members will be on display and available for purchase during the meeting.
The men and women of the Volunteer Exchange perform services for each other such as transportation and pet care. In this way, they earn credit hours that they can use in the future to “pay” other members for services. New members able to provide services are always welcome. Services are not available to non-members.
